Science Week 2017 all over NSW
Science Week 2017 @ Australian Museum in Sydney
Modfab had a booth@ the technology expo and the first week saw thousands of primary school students receiving 3D prints from Modfab, and checking out all the other STEM activities .
Week two saw highly engaged high school students filter through the expo. To cap off proceedings, Modfab ran seven introductory 3D Printing workshops where kids and teachers had the opportunity to create a custom 3D printed object.
Hot on the heels of the Science Week 2017 was our local Illawarra Flame Festival.
We ran 3D printing workshops to create an Illawarra Flame Flower to be added to a string of illuminated flowers as part of an art installation. The flame Festival had a range of activities and presentations from propagating flame tree seedlings to a live drone flight where a botanist described the structure of the forest environment of the Mt Keira escarpment. The Eaton Gorge Theatre Company were there to perform plays about the environment. A big thank you to the Illawarra Science Hub and Inspiring Australia for their sponsorship and support.

Modfab was giving an opportunity to all the young indigenous kids to explore the potential of designing and 3D printing through 3D printing workshops.
To top it off we also attended the Willoughby Public Library where we ran two 3D printing and CAD workshops. A busy weekend full of exciting opportunities to forward future STEM skills in kids of all ages. We are available to run workshops at festivals, libraries or schools.
