Holiday STEM Workshops at the Wollongong Science Centre – what a hoot!
The Science Centre and Planetarium, and Modfab Australia are leading the way in inspiring inquisitive young minds keen to discover and explore the relatively new technology of 3d printing and 3D design.
We are pleased to announce a series of one day workshops to be held at the Wollongong Science Centre and Planetarium in the school holidays.
Children aged from 11 to 14 years will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in 3D design and printing technology. This is great exposure all things technology related and we look forward to presenting these holiday STEM workshops to an enthusiastic and curious audience.
The holiday STEM workshops and 3d learning initiative aims to engage, enrich, involve and inspire big minds trapped in little bodies.
“We are very pleased to hosting these workshops in partnership with Ben and Heike from ModFab during the summer school holidays. This technology is becoming more accessible and these workshops are a fantastic opportunity for children to get a hands-on opportunity to learn and create – their imagination is the only limit”, says acting director Stuart Creal.
Stuart and the staff are thrilled to be bringing something new to the Science Centre and continuing the interest in science with young minds.
These holiday STEM workshops take place on 13th, 14th, 15th & 16th January from 9.30 to 3.30. Bookings are essential.
Cost- $150 per child
