STEM skills in Cowra are now very much a part of schooling, thanks to Modfab and the great work of local Cowra primary skills.
It was a fantastic trip and we got to see some great work by the students and to explore a wonderful regional town invested in the future of the local kids.
Such was the novelty of STEM skills in Cowra, Modfab was fortunate enough to be featured in the Cowra Guardian, the local newspaper and voice for the region. You can check out the article “Students learn STEM skills for the future.”
Students STEMming it UP
After the workshop, Modfab also presented a talk to the Cowra Community about the importance of Design, CAD and 3D Printing for the future workforce. There were lots of questions of what kind of jobs would be featured with STEM skills. How important it is for students to take on future skills in order to gain meaningful employment was also proved to be a popular topic.
Students and members of the Cowra community were amazed about the opportunities available to them with future skills and how they can be applied in various occupations.
One thing we rediscover as we bring STEM skills in Cowra or any other town for that matter is that what people want is a future. They want to be able to practically apply the skills they learn and the time they invest in learning those new skills into practical applications. Study, work, play, innovation and curiosity combine each time we bring STEM to schools and workplaces. All are as important as each other.
Want a return of training of STEM skills in Cowra? Want to bring them to your home town? You can find STEM skills anywhere Modfab is willing to travel, which is just about anywhere.
